My Statement of Faith

I believe and confess the inspiration, inerrancy, and efficacy of the 66 books of the Holy Scriptures, as agreed upon by the historic Christian Church.

Along with the historic Christian Church, I believe and confess the three ecumenical creeds: Nicene, Apostles', and Athanasian.

Along with the Lutheran Church, I believe and confess that the teachings laid out in the Lutheran Confessions--the Book of Concord--are true and in agreement with the Scriptures and with the historic Christian Church.

In agreement with the Lutheran Confessions, as a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, I confess that I am "a poor, miserable sinner," unable to come to knowledge of salvation by my own reason or strength. For this purpose, God has given us His Word and Sacraments (Holy Communion and Holy Baptism) to guide us into salvation.

1 John 3:1 (NIV 1984) "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him."
